I offer many different types of massage. One option is the soothing, relaxing Swedish Massage. It's a great way to de-stress and feel great. Most of my clients prefer the more intense deep tissue massage to work out aches and pains. A Specific Injury Treatment massage is suited for those recovering from injuries or those who need more joint flexibility and movement. Whatever your needs, I have just the massage and experienced technique to help you remain healthy, happy and pain free. I customize each massage to meet your individual needs.
Integrative/Deep tissue massage targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. This massage is used for chronically tight or painful muscles, repetitive strain, postural problems, or recovery from injury. I use slower strokes and friction techniques across the grain of the muscle. Integrative massage moves everything toward the extremities, removing negative energy in the process. After this massage you will be completely relaxed and in a lot less pain. Prenatal MassageYou want your baby to be happy, don't you? If you're feeling anxious, stressed, fatigued or are just tired of all your prenatal discomfort, then your baby is probably feeling it too. I will make sure that you are comfortable while I work out the soreness in your neck, shoulders, back, hips, legs and arms. I will gently stretch you and work to reduce your swelling. Lymph Drainage The strokes in a lymph drainage massage are intended to stimulate the movement of the lymphatic fluid in order to assist the body in cleansing the tissues of inflammatory materials and toxins. This work is extremely light and superficial, but it is very relaxing. If you are coming in for other body work and for some reason you arrive feeling anxious, lymph work just on the neck is a great way to settle down. After a full session of lymph drainage massage, you may feel like you are on a different planet.
A specialized chair is used that allows you to sit comfortably in a face forward position so that I can work on your back, neck, arms and legs. This work is done while you are fully clothed so it is appropriate for the office. It's a great way for those of you stuck at a desk all day to work out the kinks in your neck and to get the blood moving again. It will also help you to focus when you get back to work. Chair massage can even be something special to add to your next party! ![]() Shiatsu Shiatsu is an Oriental massage using finger pressure and compression along energy lines known as meridians. Shiatsu can relieve certain aches and pains but is most useful in keeping the life energy (Chi) flowing, to prevent those aches and pains in the first place. After a Shiatsu session you will feel relaxed and energized. Koshi Balancing If you are suffering from chronic lower back pain, it may be due to a misaligned pelvis. If that is the case, I will apply a series of passive stretches to your back and legs to bring your pelvis back into alignment. I will then focus on releasing the muscles of your lower back and glutes so that the alignment will last. You should feel a lot more flexible with a lost less pain afterward. Sotai Ho Sotai Ho is a Japanese form of physical therapy and bone structure adjustment. It is neuromuscular re-education through breathing and resistance movements, untwisting muscular patterns. I can incorporate this technique into your massage for a particular problem area or we can do an entire Sotai Ho session, working your entire body from head to toe. You will be amazed at the noticeable reduction in pain and immediate improvement in your range of motion. Hot Stone Massage Heated smooth stones are placed on your body to warm and loosen tight muscles. I will also use hot stones in my massage strokes, applying gentle pressure with them. Hot stone massage is great if you have muscle tension but prefer lighter massage. |
